They were mine and mine alone,
I loved them dearly I did.
You took everythng yes,
you snatched them away.
As I lie day in and day out,
by the eastern city wall.
No one believes me that you
are to blame.
But that won't matter soon will it?
As I walk down the familiar halls,
that once held and carried
laughs and cries.
How everything changed so quickly,
everyone a stranger that once was
a friend.
As I come to the lighted door,
you're sitting in my chair,
As if I'm no where to be found.
Alas I've always been here,
sitting and waiting in the shadows.
And when you take your sunlit strolls,
I'm there trailing behind; I won't be ignored
much longer.
Tis is the time for me to emerge.
It's your turn to enjoy the
bleakness of night,
the silence within the dark.
I'm standing over you now,
as you slowly drift off to sleep.
For now it will be your last,
sleep tight, sleep sound.
The shadow behind is coming around.
The things you took for me,
took for granted.
They are mine and mine alone,
In love with them I dearly am..
